  • Continue to Trou aux Cerfs (also known as Murr’s Volcano) is a dormant volcano with a well-defined cone and crater. It is 605 m (1,985 ft) high and located in Curepipe Mauritius. The crater has been alternately described as 300 and 350 meters in diameter and is 80 meters deepAccording to experts, the volcano is lying dormant but could become active at any time within the next thousand years.

  • From the edge of the crater, you can see panoramic views of Vacoas, Rose Hill, floreal Eben city and Curepipe.

  • Visit Grand Bassin, home to a Hindu Temple and a surrounding sacred lake. This temple is the destination of the Maha Shivaretree festival, a yearly pilgrimage.

  • Depart for Black River Gorges Natural Park, where you’ll visit the Alexandra Fall viewpoint over the southern portion of the island. From Black River Gorges Waterfall, snap photos of views over West of Mauritius.

  • Visit and rhum tasting at the Rhumerie de Chamarel, a distillery that makes Mauritius’ native rhum.After the Rhum tasting lunch in the Local restaurant in chamarel Village then continue to the nearby Chamarel Waterfall and the 7 Colored Earth, one of the islands most famous sights.The Tour end with a very nice view point of the south west of mauritius at Case Noyale.
